1. About This Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Dzpatch collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use the Dzpatch website, mobile app, delivery platform, wallet, support tools, and related services.

Dzpatch is the app and service named in our Google Play store listing. This policy is available publicly and from within the app.

2. Information We Collect

We collect account information such as your name, email address, phone number, password authentication status, profile photo, notification preferences, and saved addresses.

We collect delivery information such as pickup and dropoff addresses, contact names and phone numbers, package details, delivery notes, order status, rider assignment, delivery proof, ratings, support tickets, and chat messages related to an order.

We collect location information needed to quote, dispatch, track, and complete deliveries. Customers provide pickup and dropoff locations. Riders may share live location while completing active deliveries.

We collect payment and wallet information such as wallet balance, transaction references, payment method, refund records, and Paystack verification results. Dzpatch does not store full card numbers.

We collect device and usage information such as app installation status, push notification subscription data, browser or device type, service worker status, logs, crash or error signals, and general activity needed for security and reliability.

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information to create and secure accounts, provide delivery quotes, match orders with riders, process payments and refunds, track orders, send operational notifications, provide support, prevent fraud, enforce our terms, improve the service, and comply with legal obligations.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand service performance, pricing, coverage areas, and product quality.

4. Sharing and Service Providers

We share the minimum delivery information needed with assigned riders, such as route details, recipient contact details, package notes, and delivery instructions.

We use trusted service providers to operate Dzpatch, including Supabase for authentication and data storage, Paystack for payment processing, Google services for address lookup and maps, and push notification services for operational alerts.

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users and riders, to investigate fraud or abuse, or during a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.

5. Data Safety and Permissions

Dzpatch may request permissions for location, camera, photo upload, and notifications only when they support app functionality such as address selection, package evidence, delivery proof, identity or business document upload, support attachments, or order updates.

Camera access is used only when you choose to take or upload a photo, such as a package photo, delivery proof, profile image, identity document, or support evidence. Dzpatch does not use the camera in the background.

If a permission is optional, you can deny it and continue using parts of the service, although some features may not work. You can change app permissions in your device settings.

6. Retention

We keep account, order, wallet, payment, support, and safety records for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, meet accounting and tax requirements, and comply with applicable law.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it, anonymize it, or retain it only in limited records required for legal, financial, safety, or dispute purposes.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You can review and update profile information in the app. You may request access, correction, deletion, export, or restriction of your personal information by opening a support ticket.

You can request account deletion from the security area of your profile or by contacting support. Some records may be retained where required for fraud prevention, legal compliance, financial reporting, unresolved disputes, or completed delivery history.

8. Security

We use HTTPS, access controls, authentication, database security controls, and operational safeguards to protect personal information. No online service is completely secure, so please keep your login credentials private and contact support if you believe your account has been compromised.

9. Children

Dzpatch is not intended for children under 13. Users must be old enough to create an account and place delivery orders under applicable law. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services, legal requirements, or data practices change. The latest version will always be available at this page, and the date above shows when it was last updated.
